Bay-Mountain Competition Team at Bay Area JiuJitsu Championships 2009

Last Saturday the 14th of November, the competition team from BMMA Concord participated in the 2009 Bay Area Jiu Jitsu Championships. We had a great time with a different type of competition. Our team competed with some of the best in grappling in the bay area. Although we had short notice to prepare for this event, everyone did a fantastic job. Like past events, there was a good show of camaraderie and support for our team mates and respect for our fellow competitors. From what I have heard, the other schools there were impressed with how well our group did, especially considering that this was our first competition of this type.

Our team earned three silver medals this time, which is quite impressive. Even more importantly though, we all gained some invaluable experience into a new venue for competition. I was impressed with how everyone was willing to put it all out there in the name of such a learning experience, thank you. A special thanks to all the parents that helped out as well. Next event should be at the beginning of the year.

With Love,
S. Alex

Our Competitiors: Brianna, Hannah, Sarah, Shannon (Silver) , Zach, James (Silver) , AJ (Silver) , Francesco, Corbin, Alex
